A different layup for every width
A 680 mm bar and a 780 mm bar don't work the same way: the leverage and the loads at the stem and brake-lever areas change. That's why we never cut one bar down to different sizes. Each width has its own layup, calculated with finite element analysis and validated by destructive testing, so it carries exactly the material it needs and not a gram more.
Handmade, layer by layer
We combine bidirectional and unidirectional fabrics, each oriented to achieve the best weight-strength-stiffness ratio. Every layer is laid by hand, with a different number and arrangement in each zone of the bar.
Built to last
The bar ends carry specific reinforcement that reduces the risk of splintering in a crash or ground impact, and the brake-lever clamping area is reinforced too. That's why we recommend ordering the exact width rather than cutting it: you keep the reinforcements and the optimal weight.
Safety
Exceeds ISO 4210 testing. In destructive tests it withstood 350 kg without breaking.
- Standard version: riders up to 90 kg, including luggage and backpack.
- Reinforced version: no rider weight limit, around 25 g heavier. No extra charge: at Darimo, safety is never an upgrade.
Use
XC and marathon. If you want it for downhill or enduro, let us know and we will reinforce it accordingly.

If you'd like a different width (800 mm, 730 mm, shorter…), specific reinforcement for aero bars or extensions, holes for internal cable routing or Zirbel integration, we'll make it for you. Every bar is handmade and we adapt to your needs: write to info@darimo.eu. If you choose the Custom width, state your size in the order comment.
Decals
Please state your decal colour in the order comment. If none is specified, gloss finishes are shipped with white-white decals and matte finishes with black-black decals.
