90 g at 31.6 × 400 mm. A round carbon fibre seatpost with an asymmetric layup calculated with finite element analysis, validated by destructive testing and hand-laid in our workshop in Llíria (Valencia, Spain). Saddle clamp with Dyneema® loops, compatible with any rail, including 7×9 mm carbon rails. Six diameters, from 250 mm to over 420 mm or custom, and a reinforced version at no extra cost.

Description

An asymmetric layup, layer by layer

A seatpost doesn't work the same way on every side: the front and the back carry very different loads. That's why its layup is fully asymmetric, with a different number and orientation of layers in each zone, calculated with finite element analysis and validated by destructive testing. We combine bidirectional and unidirectional fabrics and lay every layer by hand to achieve the best weight-to-strength ratio.

Dyneema® Loop clamp

The saddle is clamped with two Dyneema® loops, a very light and strong system. The parts have a wide contact surface and no sharp edges, so it suits any type of rail, including 7×9 mm carbon rails.

Traditional carbon-triangle clamp

If you prefer, you can also order the seatpost with the traditional carbon-triangle clamp at no extra cost. Just state it in the order comment.

Safety

Exceeds ISO 4210 testing.

  • Standard version: riders up to 90 kg.
  • Reinforced version: for riders over 90 kg, only around 15 g heavier at 400 mm. No extra charge: at Darimo, safety is never an upgrade.

Use

Road, cyclocross and MTB. Replace your original round seatpost and save weight where it matters: the seatpost and saddle sit far from the ground, and lighter parts there reduce the pendulum effect when you ride out of the saddle.

Choosing the length

Measure the length of seatpost that sits out of the frame, up to the centre of the rails, and pick the size from the table. If you're between two sizes, consider whether other riders will use the same bike.
